Mike Watson is a Senior Systems Engineering Director for Leidos Defense Systems Sector, where they guide the application and execution of systems engineering. Previously, they served as the SE&I Branch Manager at Leidos Dynetics Space Division, focusing on advanced systems engineering approaches for space systems. With 34 years at NASA, Mike retired as the Advanced Concepts Office Technical Advisor, responsible for systems analysis of launch vehicles and spacecraft. They also chaired the INCOSE Systems Engineering Principles Action Team and led various initiatives in systems engineering, contributing to multiple NASA Technical Publications. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Alabama in Huntsville.
