HJ Jacobsen is a Universitätsprofessor and Abt. Leiter at Leibniz University of Hannover since 1991. Jacobsen also holds the title of Leiter Abt. II-Pflanzenbiotechnologie within the university. Prior to joining Leibniz University, Jacobsen completed education at The University of Bonn.
