Jagrup Brar currently serves as the Minister of State for Trade in the Government of British Columbia since December 2022. With over two decades of experience in public service, Jagrup Brar has been a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Surrey, Fleetwood & Panorama since 2004, holding roles such as Deputy Chair of the Official Opposition Caucus and critic for various ministries. Previous positions include Executive Director at the Surrey Self-Employment & Entrepreneur Development Society (SEEDS) from 2000 to 2004 and Programs Manager at the Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS) Society from 1995 to 2000. Jagrup Brar holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Philosophy from Punjabi University.
