Mohammed Akhlaq is currently the Principal Automation Scientist at LabGenius, where they combine human and machine intelligence to accelerate the discovery of advanced medicines. In addition, Akhlaq serves as the Head of Automation at LabGenius Therapeutics beginning in 2025. Previously, they worked as a Principal Scientist at BioFocus from 2014 and as a Research Scientist at Novartis from 1991 to 2014. Akhlaq holds an MSc in General Biochemistry from King's College London and a BSc in Pharmacology from the University of Portsmouth.
