Eric Sobkowiak has extensive experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in the aerospace and automotive industries. At GE Aviation, from June 2015 to May 2020, Eric held the position of Advanced Lead Engineer, where responsibilities included the mechanical design of military turbine airfoils and leading a cross-functional team to enhance component durability in challenging environments. Additionally, as a Lead Engineer, Eric chaired a team developing a groundbreaking thermal barrier coating for high-pressure turbine nozzles, achieving significant cost savings. Prior experience as a Design Engineer at American Showa involved designing automotive components optimized for performance and cost. Currently, Eric serves as a Senior Specialist, Mechanical Engineer at L3Harris Technologies. Eric holds a Master of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Cincinnati, where Eric graduated Cum Laude.
