David Hewson is a Senior Manager in the Critical Infrastructure Resilience and Emergency Management Practice at KPMG Canada, where they are currently focusing on enhancing emergency management strategies. Previously, they were the Emergency Preparedness Project Manager for Hupacasath First Nation, overseeing the development of an all-hazards emergency response plan. David gained extensive experience at Emergency Management BC, holding various roles including Emergency Management Program Coordinator and Manager, Policy & Legislation, where they played a key part in modernizing emergency management legislation and coordinated responses during major disasters. David holds a Master of Arts in Disaster and Emergency Management from Royal Roads University.
