Hanan Fawaz, PhD, is a seasoned development finance professional with over 20 years of experience in the Middle East. Currently serving as a Senior Portfolio Manager at KfW, Hanan manages UN crisis recovery projects in the Middle East Department. Previously, Hanan held positions such as Deputy Director for Syria at KfW Beirut and Head of the Development Cooperation and Economic Sections at the German Embassy in Lebanon. Hanan has also worked as a Senior Environmental Advisor at SUNTrust Holding S.A.L. and as an Environmental Consultant for MVV Energie AG. Hanan earned their education at Technische Universität Berlin.
