Stephen Owens is a seasoned HR executive and Vice President of Talent with expertise in building scalable frameworks and driving transformations. Currently serving as Vice President of Human Resources at Kemper and Chairman of the Board at McWane Science Center, they focus on sustainable growth and organizational effectiveness. Previously, they held key roles at Protective Life, where they led HR transformations that tripled talent acquisition while controlling costs. Stephen has also contributed significantly to leadership development and strategic planning across various organizations, earning recognition such as the Dai-ichi Life President's Award in 2023. They are pursuing dual degrees in Business Administration and Criminal Justice, and an MBA in Human Resources/Leadership at The University of Alabama and Samford University, respectively.
