Mary M. Gikonyo is a seasoned human resource professional with extensive experience in the banking sector. Currently serving as a Senior Human Resource Advisor at KCB Bank Group since March 2015, Mary has played a pivotal role in integrating BPR Rwanda and KCB Rwanda and implementing the Bank’s Branch Excellence Model. Prior to this, Mary was the Human Resource Lead at BPR Bank Rwanda Plc, focusing on restructuring HR operations post-merger. Experience also includes serving as Human Operations Manager at Equity Bank Limited and Human Resource Manager at Sanergy, where foundational HR departments were established. Early in her career, Mary coordinated HR efforts at Absa Group, enhancing staff welfare programs and payroll efficiency. Mary holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Nairobi and has completed a Bachelor of Arts degree from Daystar University, along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management.
