Markus Heidmeier is a media professional who develops and produces stories, strategies, and formats for streaming journalism for platforms such as FUNK, ARD, ZDF, Audible, Spotify, Podimo and Deutschlandradio. They are the founder and CEO of supa stories GmbH (since 2023) and co-founder and Co-CEO of KOOPERATIVE BERLIN (since 2010), as well as Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Kanakfilm Berlin GmbH (since 2020). They are also a co-initiator of the Beyond Platforms Initiative (since 2019). Earlier in their career they worked as Redakteur und Moderator at Deutschlandradio, DLF, SWR, WDR from 1996 to 2013, led the Deutschlandfunk Lab, taught at TU Dresden (2013-2018), authored for ZEIT ONLINE (2011-2012) and founded trigger23 Digitale Medien (2006-2008); they studied at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin from 1993 to 1999 and received the Deutscher Reporterpreis, Otto-Brenner-Preis and Lars-Day-Preis.
