John Curran currently serves as the Chief Deputy Clerk/Register of Deeds for Kalamazoo County Government since February 2023. Previously, John worked as Chief of Staff for State Senator Sean McCann from January 2019 to December 2022 and was the Executive Director of First Day Shoe Fund, an organization dedicated to providing new athletic shoes to school-age children in Kalamazoo County from July 2016 to January 2019. John's earlier roles include Operations Associate at Kalamazoo College and Senior Constituent Relations Advisor for the Michigan State Senate. Additionally, John was involved in various campaign management roles, including managing Sean McCann's Senate campaign in 2014 and Cooney for Congress in 2010. John earned an M.B.A. in Business Administration and Management from the Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University in 2018, where a B.A. in Political Science and Economics was also obtained.
