KåKå was founded in 1927, at that time the business was trading of coffee, conserves and fruit. Production of marzipan and almond paste began in 1931, KåKå was the first company in Sweden to launch factory-processed almond paste. In the early seventies KåKå was the first player to launch Bake Off to the bakery market in Sweden, perhaps also the first to do this in Europe. Today is KåKå the leading player to the bakery and confectionary market in Sweden by far.
