JSR Corporation is engaged in the manufacture and sale of elastomer and resin products. It has three business segments. The Elastomer segment manufactures and sells synthetic rubber products, such as styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) and butadiene rubber (BR), as well as emulsion products, such as thermoplastic elastomer and SBR latex. The Synthetic Resin segment is engaged in the manufacture, processing and sale of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) resin, acrylonitrile ethylene styrene (AES) resin and other synthetic resin products. The Diversified segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of materials for semiconductor, flat panel displays, optical instruments and functional chemicals, the sale of manufacturing technology, the provision of coating materials for optical fiber, the manufacture and sale of testing instruments and equipment for electronic parts, as well as transportation and storage businesses. It also develops, manufactures and sales clinical diagnostics.
