Paramjit Kaur Matharu is the Managing Director and Global Indirect Tax Head at JPMorgan Chase, where they have served since 1996. They began their career at HMRC in 1980 before moving to Price Waterhouse in 1986, ultimately leaving as a senior managing tax consultant in 1994. Paramjit held the position of UK VAT Manager at Nationsbank starting in 1995 and joined JPMorgan as UK VAT Manager before assuming global responsibilities in 2002. They have been a prominent figure in industry groups, chairing the BBA VAT Working Group since 2010 and serving as an executive member and chair for the European and International Affairs Committee at Sikh Council UK.
