Samaan Rafeq, MD, MBA, currently serves as a Clinical Professor of Medicine and Cardiothoracic Surgery at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and holds multiple leadership positions at NYU Langone Health, including Interventional Pulmonologist and Associate Section Chief of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. Since January 2022, Samaan Rafeq has also been the Senior Director of Clinical Development in Interventional Oncology at Johnson & Johnson. A Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians since October 2017, Samaan Rafeq previously held academic roles at New York Medicine Jobs and St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, where Samaan Rafeq directed Interventional Pulmonary services. Samaan Rafeq's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine from Damascus University and a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management from Brandeis University.
