Faisal Altaf is currently a Senior Engineering Manager in Battery Management Systems at JLR. With a focus on advanced engineering and research, Faisal leads the design and architecture for next-generation automotive battery management systems, integrating adaptive estimation and control algorithms. Faisal previously held prominent roles at Volvo Group, where substantial contributions included leading efforts for advanced battery management systems and modular battery architecture. They obtained a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Automatic Control Systems from Chalmers University of Technology, further solidifying their expertise in battery systems and control methodologies in automotive applications. Additionally, Faisal has extensive experience from institutions such as KTH Royal Institute of Technology and NEVS, underscoring a robust background in mechatronics and system-level design.
