Laura Harnish is a seasoned professional in climate resilience and water resources, currently serving as Vice President at Jacobs since July 2013. Previously, Laura held various leadership roles at the Environmental Defense Fund from January 2007 to July 2013, including National Strategy Director for Land, Water and Wildlife and Regional Director. Laura also worked as a Special Assistant to the Director on Conservation Strategy for the State of California from June 2012 to June 2013, where the focus was on innovating funding and incentives for conservation. Early in the career, Laura served as a Planner and Environmental/Water Resources Planner at CH2M from 1987 to 2006. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture with a focus on Environmental Planning from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
