David Charlap is an experienced software engineer with a strong focus on networking and embedded systems. Currently serving as a Principal Software Design Engineer at Jabil since August 2015, David specializes in research, systems analysis, and software design for embedded software, IoT connectivity, and AI/ML applications. Prior to Jabil, David held multiple positions at Ericsson from April 1999 to August 2015, including Software Engineer VI and Principal Software Engineer, where expertise in MPLS protocols and network management was developed. Earlier career highlights include a role as Senior Software Engineer at FORE Systems, with responsibilities transitioning into Ericsson, and experience at Visix Software and 3X Corporation in software development for various operating systems. David holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
