Richard Lamprey is an experienced consultant specializing in wildlife census methodologies, with a focus on aerial survey techniques utilizing high-resolution imaging, currently employed with Vulcan Inc and associated organizations such as Save-the Elephants and the Uganda Conservation Foundation since May 2017. Previously, Richard served as a Livestock Survey Design Expert for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, contributing to the design of survey strategies amidst challenging conditions in Somalia. With a robust background in wildlife management as an East Africa Technical Specialist at Fauna and Flora International and Technical Adviser for the European Union's Delegation to Uganda, Richard holds a Ph.D. in Environment from the University of Aston and a BA in Zoology from the University of Oxford.
