Leonardo Nascimento is a Senior Financial Management Specialist at the World Bank, having joined in 2020. They served as a member of the Brazilian Public Sector Accounting Standards Committee from 2012 to 2024 and held various leadership roles, including Chairman of the Board of Directors at Empresa Gestora De Ativos and Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Caixa Econômica Federal. Currently, they are a professor at Fundação Getulio Vargas, FACULDADE FIPECAFI, and UniCEUB, teaching topics in public finance and management. Leonardo earned a Master’s in Accounting from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina and has extensive experience in public sector financial management, including roles at the Ministério da Fazenda and Ministério da Economia.
