Christopher Vakulskas is an accomplished professional in the field of microbiology and enzyme development with extensive experience in research and leadership roles. Currently, Christopher serves as Senior Director of Enzyme Development and Senior Director of Enzyme Evolution at Integrated DNA Technologies, holding these positions since August 2015 after serving as Senior Staff Scientist. Prior to this, Christopher was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Florida from February 2010 to August 2015, focusing on the molecular mechanisms of DEAD-box RNA helicases in bacterial regulatory systems. Christopher's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Genetics and Biotechnology, both from the University of Iowa, where research was conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Timothy Yahr.
