Sean Cox is an experienced professional with a diverse background in data engineering and maritime studies. Currently serving as an Insight Data Engineering Fellow at Insight Data Science since May 2020, Sean focuses on building scalable and fault-tolerant infrastructure for big data management. Sean holds a Master's degree in Maritime Studies from East Carolina University, where the emphasis was on underwater archaeology and the application of mathematical models in shipwreck exploration. Prior to this, Sean has held various editorial roles at the Oxford Business Group, including sub-editor and editorial manager, and conducted research as a Fulbright Scholar at the Institute of International Education. Sean earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classical, Ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern Studies, and Archaeology from Hanover College.
