Maxime Garnier is a Lead Quantum Software Engineer at Inria since October 2021 and serves as an adjoint to the director of QuantumTech@Inria. Prior to this role, Maxime completed a PhD at Université Paris-Sud from September 2017 to August 2020, focusing on theoretical condensed matter physics and topological superconductivity to advance quantum computation platforms. Experience includes a research internship at Laboratoire Pierre Aigrain, an internship at Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology in the Theory of Quantum Matter Unit, and another internship at Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris optimizing algorithms for extrasolar planet detection. Maxime holds a Doctorat from Paris-Sud University, a Master 2 in quantum physics from École normale supérieure, a Master 2 in social sciences from EHESS, and completed undergraduate studies in physics at École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay and Pierre and Marie Curie University.
