Avhatakali Khorommbi currently serves as the Assistant Group Company Secretary at the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) since January 2012, where responsibilities include assisting with governance matters and ensuring compliance with the Companies Act across subsidiaries. Previously, Khorommbi held the position of Acting Deputy Company Secretary at MTN from November 2009 to December 2011, overseeing group compliance with relevant legislation and JSE Listings Requirements. Additional experience includes managing corporate governance at the SA Council for the Property Valuers Profession and providing legal services at the Health Professions Council of South Africa. Khorommbi holds multiple degrees in law and compliance management, along with a certification in Ethics from The Ethics Institute.
