IMS is currently seeking a Credit and Collections Specialist to work in our Skokie, IL facility.  The role will be reporting into the Accounting Supervisor. The role is responsible for managing the company's credit and collection processes, customer credit limits and month end AR reporting.

The skills and experience you have

Qualifications:

  • Follow-up with clients to promote prompt payment​
  • Enter, update, and retrieve information for credit applications
  • Review and monitor credit limits of customers; assign credit limits in JDE
  • Customer AB Clean Up
  • Assist Treasury team with comments on company’s outstanding AR
  • Ensure Credit Card Chargebacks​ are addressed timely, and complete documentation is submitted
  • Assist with AR month-end reporting
  • AR Related Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Establish and ensure proactive analysis of business trends and develop relevant AR metrics

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 1+ years of directly working with business-to-business credit and collections experience
  • Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently
  • Critical thinking and problem solving ability
  • Must be a team player
