Hans Peter Lankes is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in economics and public policy. Currently serving as Managing Director and Deputy Chief Executive at ODI since October 2022, Lankes also holds positions as Visiting Senior Fellow at The London School of Economics and Political Science and Visiting Professor in Practice at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. Additionally, Lankes is a member of the Investment Committee at ILX and a Senior Fellow at the International Growth Centre. Prior roles include Vice President for Economics & Private Sector Development at the International Finance Corporation and Managing Director of Institutional Strategy at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Lankes has also served in various leadership roles at the International Monetary Fund. Educational credentials include a PhD in Public Policy from Harvard University, an MPA in Economics & Government from Harvard Kennedy School, and degrees in Economics from The University of Freiburg and Université Grenoble Alpes.
