Illinois REALTORS® is the only advocate for private property rights at the State Capitol in Springfield and in city halls across Illinois. We protect property rights and advance the real estate profession.

In 1916 real estate leaders from around Illinois banded together to form what would become the Illinois REALTORS®. The objective: To unite brokers, agents, dealers and owners for the purpose of formulating, promoting and enforcing high standards of ethics in relation to transactions in real estate. Today, the Illinois REALTORS® has grown to become one of the largest trade associations in the state of Illinois, representing 50,000 REALTORS® statewide involved in all aspects related to the sale, purchase, exchange or lease of real property in Illinois. 

REALTOR®: The term REALTOR® is a registered collective membership mark that identifies a real estate professional who is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and subscribes to its code of ethics.

The Marketing and Design Team at Illinois REALTORS® is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to enhance the visibility and reputation of the organization. This includes creating compelling content, designing eye-catching graphics, managing digital marketing campaigns, and ensuring cohesive branding across all communications. Their efforts support the association’s mission to advocate for property rights and uphold high ethical standards in real estate transactions statewide.

Marketing and Design Team

The Government and Advocacy team at Illinois REALTORS® works to protect private property rights and champion the interests of real estate professionals. They engage in political advocacy, monitor legislation, and build relationships with government officials at both the state and local levels. This team also coordinates fundraising initiatives through the RPAC to support candidates and policies that benefit the real estate industry.

Government and Advocacy

The Operations and Administration team at Illinois REALTORS® is responsible for overseeing the daily administrative functions and ensuring smooth business operations. Comprising roles like Business Manager, Systems Administrator, Assistant Operations Manager, and Treasurer, the team manages financial planning, system maintenance, operational support, and administrative tasks to facilitate the organization's advocacy for property rights and support for real estate professionals.
