Niko Sünderhauf is a Professor at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), where they also serve as Deputy Director of the QUT Centre for Robotics and Deputy Director (Research) of the ARC Research Hub in Intelligent Robotic Systems for Real-Time Asset Management. Their research focuses on robotic vision, scene understanding, and machine learning principles, with a particular interest in the reliability of machine learning for real-world applications. Niko previously held positions including Associate Professor at QUT and Associate Editor for the IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters. They earned a PhD from Technische Universität Chemnitz and have completed various leadership certifications from Harvard Business School Online.
