David Somo is a global technology industry executive with more than 30 years of experience in the semiconductor sector, leading worldwide sales, marketing, corporate strategy, product development, and M&A with full company P&L responsibility. They currently serve as President, CEO & Board Director of Ideal Power Inc. and as a member of the Board of Advisors for BayRise Capital Partners. Their ongoing education includes INSEAD's International Directors Programme. Earlier in their career, they led the global sales and marketing organization at Advanced Micro Devices from 1991 to 2003, and subsequently held senior leadership roles at MEMC Electronic Materials (2003–2004), Ubicom (2004–2005), Celerity (2005–2009), Asetek (2009), and ON Semiconductor (2009–2021). They also served as President & CEO of Preciseley Microtechnology Corp. from 2021 to 2024.
