Larry Chiu is a distinguished engineer and researcher currently serving as Director of Global Storage System Research at IBM Almaden Research Center. They have led storage research strategy across multiple global laboratories and have managed various innovative projects in hybrid cloud storage. Previously, Larry held roles at IBM Research and Apple, contributing to advancements in storage technology, including the development of the first industry RAID-5 storage controller. Larry earned a Master of Science from Texas McCombs School of Business and has pursued further education at Stanford University.
