Gus Villegas has extensive experience in sales management and business operations, with a prominent tenure at IBM from February 2017 to June 2018. At IBM, Villegas served as a Global Sales Management Advisor for Cloud & Cognitive initiatives, where responsibilities included developing custom reports for productivity analysis and supporting top customers. Subsequently, Villegas was promoted to Global Business Advisor, contributing to a fast-paced management system across sectors, and held roles as a Senior watsonx architect and Customer Success Manager. Villegas also worked as a Business Programs & Operations Manager in Blockchain, where cross-functional collaboration and sales operations oversight were key focuses. Prior to IBM, Villegas co-founded and served as COO of a family-owned distribution business from October 2002 to January 2017, leading go-to-market strategies, managing a sales team, and developing incentive plans for employee performance.
