David Cooper currently serves as the National Manager for Fraud in Risk and Legal at Insurance Australia Group, a position held since September 2009, focusing on leadership and strategy in fraud risk management across enterprise operations. Prior to this role, David managed the Specialist Claims Group at AAMI from October 1998 to July 2007, also specializing in fraud risk management. David’s career in fraud prevention began as a Senior Investigator at IAG from June 1993 to October 1998, and David initially served as a Police Officer with the NSW Police Service from July 1974 to June 1993. David holds educational credentials from Western Sydney University (2000-2002) and has attended Northwestern University (1991).
