Chief Financial and Operations Officer (CFOO)

The Role As a member of the executive management team, the appointee will contribute to the delivery and implementation of our current strategic plan, and to the ongoing strategic development and growth of the Institute. The CFOO will oversee financial planning, capital development, operations, compliance, and governance in line with the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies, the Higher Education Act, and sectoral regulatory frameworks. The role of the CFOO will encompass strategic, financial & institutional leadership; governance, compliance, audit & risk; capital development, infrastructure & campus operations and financial systems, digital transformation & process improvement.

The Person Candidates should be fully qualified accountants, ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent. A master’s qualification in finance, strategic management, public administration, or a related field is highly desirable. A proven track record of senior financial and operational leadership in complex organisations, ideally during periods of transformation, growth, or structural change is ideally sought. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills is required with the ability to engage and influence academic leaders, creative practitioners, industry partners, funding bodies, and government stakeholders.
