Hulphond Nederland gelooft in de effectiviteit van de inzet van dieren bij het helpen van mensen met een fysieke of geestelijke zorgvraag. Met inzet van hulphonden en dierondersteunde therapie, helpen wij mensen die zijn vastgelopen in hun leven om de regie terug te nemen. De stichting helpt jaarlijks meer dan 1000 mensen.

Wij hebben ruim veertig jaar ervaring in het opleiden en plaatsen van hulphonden en ruim 12 jaar ervaring in dierondersteunde therapie. Onze stichting is een kwalitatief hoogwaardige organisatie die voor steeds meer ziektebeelden, gedragsstoornissen en leer- of andersoortige problematiek hulphonden inzet.

Onze hulphonden worden met respect voor het welzijn van de hond zo breed mogelijk opgeleid door deskundige trainers. Zij zijn in staat de hulphond tot zeventig verschillende vaardigheden aan te leren. Door middel van het Hulphond Expertisecentrum, voorzien van een landelijk erkend keurmerk, onderscheiden wij ons met de beste hulphonden en aantoonbaar bewezen trainingen en methodieken. Hulphond Nederland heeft voor iedereen de juiste hulphond!

Steunen
Hulphond Nederland is van mening dat er geen financiële drempels mogen bestaan voor de aanvragers van een hulphond. Hulphonden stellen we dan ook kosteloos ter beschikking. De gelden hiervoor worden bijeengebracht door donateurs, zakelijke sponsoren, serviceclubs en zorgverzekeraars, en komen uit giften, nalatenschappen en collectes.
