Stephen Richardson is a Managing Director and operational risk expert with a robust background in business risk and control management. They served as the Global Head of Business Risk and Control Management and Global Head of Conduct at HSBC Private Bank from 2014 to 2021, and they currently hold the position of Global Chief Control Officer for HSBC Private Banking and Wealth since 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Operational Risk Manager at Macquarie Group and Audit Assistant at KPMG. Stephen earned a 2:1 degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Birmingham in 2000.
