Alex Smith has over a decade of expertise in procurement and operational strategy, beginning as a Purchasing Strategy Coordinator/Buyer at Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions from January 2007 to October 2009. Subsequently, Alex held the position of Procurement Manager at Northern Foods until December 2011. From January 2012 to July 2017, Alex advanced through various roles at HSBC, including Procurement Transformation Manager, Global Head of ATM, Head of Cash, Cheques and Ecommerce Operations, and Procurement Programme Director. Alex holds a BSc in Biology with a 2.1 classification from Sheffield University, earned between 2002 and 2005.
