Andrew Woehler currently serves as the Director of Advanced Instrumentation at Howard Hughes Medical Institute, a position held since November 2022. Prior to this role, Andrew was a Group Leader at the Max Delbrück Center from May 2016 to October 2022 and a Junior Group Leader at the Center for Nanoscopy and Molecular Physiology of the Brain from May 2013 to May 2016. Andrew began their academic career as a Post Doctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry from June 2010 to May 2013. Andrew earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience from The University of Göttingen between 2005 and 2010 and completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at Arizona State University from 1999 to 2004.
