Al Faridar is the Stanley H. Appel Chair of Translational Neuroscience, specializing in cognitive neurology and neuroimmunology. They completed a Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Tehran University of Medical Sciences from 2000 to 2008. Al has held notable positions, including an Alzheimer Fellowship at BrightFocus Foundation from 2019 to 2021, and a research fellow role at Mayo Clinic in 2010-2011. They also served as a postdoctoral fellow at UCSF Medical Center from 2011 to 2013 and completed a Translational Neuroimmunology/Neuroimaging Fellowship at Houston Methodist from 2017 to 2018.
