Matthew Koff, Ph.D. serves as Co-Director of the HSS MRI Laboratory and Associate Scientist at the Hospital for Special Surgery since March 2008, also holding the position of Associate Professor of Biomedical Imaging in Orthopaedic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine since March 2011. Koff's previous experience includes roles as a Senior Post-Doctoral Research Fellow and Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic from July 2004 to March 2008, and Graduate Research Assistant at Columbia University between 1998 and 2004. Early in the career, Koff worked as a Safety Defects Engineer at the United States Department of Transportation in 1996. Academic credentials include a Post-Doctorate in Medical Imaging from Mayo Clinic, a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, and a Master of Philosophy from Columbia Engineering, in addition to a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from Columbia Engineering and The George Washington University, respectively.
