Eric P. Blackhurst is the Chair of Horizon Bancorp and serves as a Director on its Governance and Nominating Committee, where they ensure compliance and best practices for the $7.5 billion-asset bank holding company. They are also the Interim President at Alma College and have previously served as an Adjunct Professor of International Business Law. With an extensive career in the legal field, Eric was the Associate General Counsel at Dow from 1990 to 2024, where they led significant mergers, including the $130 billion merger between Dow and E.I. DuPont de Nemours. Eric holds a J.D. with highest honors from the University of Kentucky College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Alma College, where they were awarded the Barlow Trophy.
