Amanda Childers is currently the Lead R&D Scientist at Honeywell, a role they have held since 2021. Previously, Amanda worked as a Senior R&D Scientist and a Scientist R&D at Honeywell from 2014 to 2018. They earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University, where they also served as a Graduate Student Researcher from 2009 to 2014. Earlier in their career, Amanda was a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan and a Research Intern at Deutsches Zentrum fuer Luft- und Raumfahrt, where they focused on innovative materials and their mechanical properties.
