Chris Handzel is currently the Vice President at HNTB Corporation, serving as the Director of Transportation Planning + Policy in the Central States office since 2021. Previously, they acted as the Department Manager for Transit + Mobility at HNTB, where they specialized in planning and design solutions for transit-related projects. Before their time at HNTB, Chris worked as a Landscape Architect at The HOK Planning Group from 2001 to 2005. They hold a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Kansas State University, which they obtained in 2001.
