Brent Friend is a professional land surveyor currently serving as the Survey Mapping Section Manager at HNTB, a position they have held since 2025. With extensive experience in the field, Brent previously managed the R/W Engineering Department at Butler, Fairman and Seufert, Inc. from 2004 to 2025 and oversaw various surveying projects as a Senior Project Surveyor at Mid-States Engineering from 1998 to 2004. From 1993 to 1998, Brent served as a Project Manager at Land Services Group, focusing on underground conduit design in the greater Washington, DC area. Brent's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Land Surveying from Purdue University, earned from 1988 to 1992. Additionally, Brent contributed to the profession as a board member for the Indiana Professional Land Surveyors Foundation and the Indiana Society of Professional Land Surveyors.
