Carl Baum, MD, is a Professor of Pediatrics and of Emergency Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. They have served as a Medical Consultant for the Therapeutic Use Exemption Committee with the United States Anti-Doping Agency since 2024 and are a member of the National Biodefense Science Board with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Previously, they held various positions, including as a Fellow at the American College of Medical Toxicology and Medical Director at the PEHSU National Program Office. Baum’s educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's Degree in Earth Sciences from Dartmouth College.
