Rohit Apte is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in trading, data science, and leadership within the cryptocurrency and financial sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Capital Markets at Hex Trust since July 2025, Rohit previously held the position of Head of Trading at Matrixport from April 2023 to July 2025. With a substantial tenure as CEO at both Octobabel and Coinalytix, Rohit has specialized in crypto data aggregation for institutional clients. Prior to the cryptocurrency sector, Rohit worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Chain of Demand and was an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at Entrepreneur First, focusing on NLP projects. Rohit's foundational experience in finance includes positions as Co-Head of G7 Rates and Trader for Interest Rate Derivatives at HSBC, along with roles as a Trader and Structurer earlier in their career. Rohit holds a degree in Mathematics from Haverford College and completed high school at Rishi Valley School.
