Omer Mubarek is a Deep Learning Researcher at Georgia Institute of Technology, specializing in Video Understanding and Action Recognition in low-labeled data settings with a focus on vision transformers versus CNN-based architectures. Previously, Omer has served as Principal Architect and Product Owner at HERE Technologies, where responsibilities included leading the development of machine learning-based real-time traffic products. Omer's career also encompasses various architectural and research roles at BlackBerry, contributing to the development of innovative technologies and performance optimization projects. Omer holds a Master's of Science in Computer Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as degrees in Systems Engineering from Carleton University and Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University.
