Sebastian Busch is a physicist with extensive experience in research and leadership within academic and scientific institutions. Currently serving as co-operative head of department and scientist at Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon since January 2015, Sebastian previously held the position of postdoctoral research associate at the University of Oxford from January 2012 to January 2015. Earlier research internships were completed at ESRF - The European Synchrotron, Paul Scherrer Institut PSI, and ETH Zurich in the mid-2000s. Sebastian holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from the Technical University of Munich, where studies were conducted from 2007 to 2012, and a Master’s Degree in Physics from the same institution, awarded in 2007.
