Milena Pappas serves on the Board of Starbulk as a Class B Director since August 2024 and is also a current member of the Board of Directors for Gard AS. They founded PremiuMares in 2015, focusing on breeding showjumping horses of excellence, and co-own the Shanghai Swans, a team in the Longines Global Champions Tour circuit. In 2025, Milena will take on the role of Executive Secretary at the Board of Directors for HELMEPA, a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing ship-generated pollution. Milena previously held the position of Commercial Director at Star Bulk from 2009 to 2014 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology at Cornell University.
