Jillian Newmyer, PhD, currently serves as a Health Physicist at Helion since September 2025. Prior experience includes roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at Oregon State University from September 2019 to September 2025, where Jillian taught multiple courses and conducted research on radiation uptake in medicinal plants near uranium sites. Jillian also gained valuable experience as a Health Physics PhD Intern at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, an Intern at BHP implementing procedural changes for equipment contamination assessment, and a Criticality Safety Intern at SHINE Medical Technologies. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Radiation Health Physics from Oregon State University and a Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
