Gwen (Parks) Cates, M.S., is a Talent Development and HR Strategy Leader with extensive experience in strategy development, operations, and learning. Currently serving as Principal Consultant and Chief of Staff at HealthPartners, Cates previously held pivotal roles at Target, where they led various Learning and Development initiatives and served as Chief of Staff to the SVP of Talent. They earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Gender, and Communications from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University and a Master of Science in Sociology and Instructional Design from Purdue University. Cates is passionate about improving organizational performance and enhancing employee experience through innovative HR strategies.
